Manly walk and Royal Botanic Gardens: Sydney treasures

20160116_112228Two staples of the UW-Stevens Point Australia winterim trip are a seven-mile hike from Spit Bridge to Manly Beach and a visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens in downtown Sydney.  To see photo galleries tied to my Jan. 27 Portage County Gazette column from Australia, click the link to go to the next page.

Click on any photo below to hop into either gallery with photos. I wrote about each of those outings in this Gazette column from Jan. 27.   There are no detailed cutlines on these, as I didn’t take notes while out and about and don’t have time to research most of these photos.

Here’s my Spit-to-Many gallery, including a couple of screen shots of Google Earth and Google maps to see the route we took (roughly) and the area we were in.  The first image shows our starting point on the left of the image.

Here are some shots from the Botanic Gardens, which celebrate their 200th anniversary in 2016.
